The AirLink PinPoint is a rugged wireless modem with a GPS receiver that provides a cost effective platform for mobile applications. The PinPoint's modular architecture is designed to provide customers with the flexibility to migrate to Next Generation Wireless Services while maximizing their investments.

Flexible and Efficient
The PinPoint can be configured to report its position by time and/or distance. The GPS time is available for precise time-stamping of important events. AirLink's optimized protocol ensures efficient use of airtime, translating to low monthly service fees. The serial port provides network connectivity for a laptop, POS terminal, PDA, or mobile data terminal.

PinPoint-Ethernet (EV-DO Rev. A)
Now, the PinPoint Ethernet EV-DO has raised the bar once again for speed, rugged reliability, and ease of use. Powered by the AirLink Embedded Oper-ating System (ALEOS), the PinPoint-E EV-DO is a powerful and diverse mobile communications platform. Now equipped with Ethernet, it can fully take advantage of the new higher data rates offered by EV-DO technology, and it’s even easier to configure and install.

By blending an always-on wireless broadband data connection with a high-precision integrated GPS receiver, the PinPoint provides scaleable mobile data solutions for the enterprise. As a standalone in-vehicle device, it enables AVL, fleet management and real-time dispatch applications. Its Ethernet, serial, and digital interfaces enable a host of applications to communicate over public EV-DO networks with typical data speeds similar to DSL. AirLink's EV-DO products are interoperable with existing and broadly deployed CDMA 1x networks and will automatically and seamlessly fall back to 1x when EV-DO is not available.

The PinPoint X features advanced processing power and expanded memory within an enhanced scalable architec-ture optimized for high-speed cellular networks. By blending an always-on wireless broadband data connection with a high-precision integrated GPS receiver, the PinPoint X is the cornerstone of a powerful mobile data solution ideal for a broad set of mobile enterprise applications. The PinPoint X is a compact, intelligent and fully-featured mobile communications platform with multiple peripheral connections including serial, Ethernet and USB. Expanded I/O functionality in a separate connector unleashes extensive remote instrumentation possibilities. The externally accessible SIM card streamlines installation and activation. Its high-precision 16-channel GPS receiver and the extensive location-based application services built in to ALEOS™ greatly enhance any tracking solution.

The PinPoint X was designed from the ground up for the harsh environment of mobile data and vehicle tracking applications and it is certified to meet Military Standards for extreme temperature, shock, vibration, and humidity.
